What I'm Doing This Summer ...
Ahad
This is for all of the people that actually care what I will be doing this summer.
I will be staying up here in order to take two finance courses and an economics
course during the first session. Each class is an hour and fifteen minutes and
it meets every day. It is going to be rather difficult to get used to having
the same class everyday again. After classes are finished I will have about
a month off before I start working at IBM, down in Bethesda, Maryland. At some
point before that I have to find a place to live. The Rolling Rock Town Fair
Concert will make me do something that I thought would never happen, that is
go to Pittsburgh. The concert is at Heinz Field, and Matt and I can’t
wait to destroy that place.
I am supposed to start working on August 4. At IBM my official job title will be Financial Analyst. I am going to help manage multimillion dollar government contracts and I will be given my own smaller contracts to manage. I have no idea what these contracts are about or what managing them entails, but I guess I better learn how to do it pretty fast.
I will try and be back up here as much as possible during the fall, because I know everyone will miss me. I should have football season tickets, so that will give me even more incentive to come up here. I ask everyone to keep an eye on Matt and Dave while I am gone and make sure this place stays in one piece.
Keath
This is gonna be a sweet summer. Its the first summer were all gonna be 21 and
can hit up the bars when bored (except Joe and Wes cause there youngins). Baseball
will consume my Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons. We have our whole baseball
team returning this summer trying to win back to back championships. During
the week, I'll be working once again at Clarkes landscaping. It’s the
best summer job you can have! Weekends are gonna be a time for chillin and movie
watching. I'll try to grace PSU with my presence once a month and visit Ben.
And to top the summer off, we will be making a few casino trips and maybe some
random roadtrips.
Matt
Well, as this semester has officially closed for myself, and seeing that I don’t
have a job yet, I will be looking for one at the beginning of this summer starting
tomorrow. I will be taking classes that span the 1st and 2nd sessions, those
being Emch 12, 215, and 216, so I have my work cut out for me there. Other plans
include getting back to the gym, in my case everyday like last summer, as Ahad
and I begin training for things such as pickleball, Ultimate Thing, Slamball,
Football Walk-On practices and just to get our lazy asses back into shape. I
think it is now safe to go back now that Janke won’t be around so we don’t
have to worry about him passing out. I also was able to con Dave and Ahad into
going to the Rolling Rock Town Fair at Heinz Field on July 26th, which will
be mine and Ahad's first trip to the lovely (cough) steel city of Pittsburgh
Pa. I was a little skeptical at first, cause I wasn’t sure if they would
have a pit on the field, but once i found out they did, I was all for it. So
hopefully Ahad and I will be able to correct those nasty grammar habits of those
Pittsburghians. And if I hear that "p" word, i just might blow a gasket.
Anyways, kinda getting off the topic here, but that is pretty much my summer...it
won’t be as exciting as Janke's "breaking stuff" job. And hopefully
by the time I see you all again, I will have become an Ultimate Thing pro, and
its popularity will have spread all across State College. That’s it for

If you have read the website you pretty much know all about my summer plans.
For 12 weeks I will be working at Glaxo Smith Kline in Center City playing with
all the new hardware they get in. I will also be playing Senior Connie Mack
again; we need to repeat as champions. Even though it’s technically a
new league this year I think we can still dominate. No other plans are set in
stone as far as road trips. There are the possibilities of Hershey (if Frances
can convince me to come), the shore, and, if Evan comes to visit, Boston. Most
of my free time will be spent in front of the big screen or out in the pool.
Joe
"The Summer of Joe" - Well ladies and gentlemen, this may be the summer
where Joe goes out and gets himself a REAL job. My days of valeting and ches-monting
are over. My summer shall begin with an avid search for a job. So far I've come
up empty. Clarkes, Harleysville Bank, Applebee's, and Olive Garden all shot
me down. I'm starting to feel like Ahad at a singles night. Well, at least I
have my health. Unless of course I caught SARS from Matt, cause we all know
how he loves his asian women. That's right, my jobless bitterness has caused
me to take out my anger on everyone else. That's called "displacement"
people...SWEET, I actually used something I learned in my PSY class. That was
money well spent. Well on a serious note, I do have a few fun things planned
for the summer. Jarinko Wiffle-ball, Sunday morning golf outings, Picnics, Ritas,
and a fabulous weekend in Sea Isle with my family and my girl Summer! Oh goodness,
that looked like a Caitlin Inside Joke Weekend Wrap-up. Alright Alright that's
enough of my bitterness. I'll just end by saying HAVE A GREAT SUMMER and don't
work too hard.
