The end is approaching. This week I should know where I will be living next semester. Minnesota or Lansdale. Something big to discuss tonight so lets get to it.

I started writing my take on the BCS here, but it got crazy so it moved to its proper place. Go here.

Also updated My Songs.

Notice more.

Not really in the mood to update, but I'm back, everybody's back.
Quick summary of the break you will be hearing all about ...

I'm not going to Minnesota. I was selected for the job at IBM, but there is a hiring freeze and can't hire anybody, so I don't know what I'm doing.

Kidney Stone = Night in the hospital and a lousy break. I spent Tuesday night in the hospital cause I had a kidney stone. Yes, Tuesday was the same day that I found out about IBM.

In between those two things I went to a concert with Kate, my step-sister, and saw Punchline, Fall Out Boy, Tommy Tutone, and Less Than Jake. Fall Out Boy was great and they signed CDs after their set. And you read that right, Tommy Tutone of 867-5309 fame, you know the song. Well they played it first and last in their set. I still have no idea why he was there. They played a little too long, meaning more than one song. Less Than Jake was cool but they have a large high school following of a bunch of crazy kids.

I've got a place to live next year, so look forward to all the fun Kelli, Matt, and I will have.

The bike was in the Collegian today, it was in the Humphrey article ...

With only minutes remaining, Humphrey succumbed to the chants from the student section for him to hop on the warm-up bike that was only feet away from the screaming fans.

"There's this kid that's in my class and he wearing my jersey and all the fans over there wanted me to get on the bike, but I didn't want to," Humphrey said. "So finally I got on the bike for a few seconds just to make them happy. We were all having fun, so it was nice for a change."

25 Pics should be up tomorrow sometime, there are 8 pictures I believe. Tomorrow you should go out and buy Lord of the Rings: Two Towers Extended DVD and the new Blink 182 cd.

What? You want another weekend update?

This weekend I had one goal in mind. Well, one that I achieved. That was to recover from the last week. I had so many exams, projects, and homeworks due I was burnt out. I didn’t finish the last project until after 4 Friday afternoon. This week there isn’t as much but it could still be a pain. Anyways Friday and Saturday nights were really just spent in catching up with my ReplayTV since I didn’t watch TV all week on account of the stuff. We also played some Mario Party 5, which I suck at by the way. I finished last against Keath, Kevin (Keath’s brother for those of you not in the know), and the computer. Later we played teams with Keath and I taking on Ben and Kevin. I am the worst roller ever. You would think it would be pure luck, but no, I’m just bad. Ben and Kevin destroyed team Cute Buddies (as the game was so kind to give us).

Oh yea, we had some sort of football game on Saturday. Finally we were playing a team that we should beat and we destroyed them. Really they didn’t do anything to use to deserve such a whopping but we’ve been struggling and had to take our aggression out on someone. We were clicking in just about all aspects of the game. The run defense was absent but they weren’t even there a little bit all year. Our seats? We were in ED row E odd. Which means, to those uninformed, that we were in the better side of the senior section, in the fifth row. If you aren’t sure exactly where that is, its right behind the stationary bike. That may seem like an odd description but its something very close to the heart of the people in front of us. For some reason they took it upon themselves to encourage players to ride the bike with chanting and cheering. You may think this is a week idea but armed with a team roster they successfully got everyone they chanted for during the game to get on the bike. JoePa didn’t, but he turned around, smiled, and gave the you kids are crazy hand wave. The players enjoyed them trying to get JoePa to ride, encouraging us to be louder. Matt, Dave, and Ahad didn’t think it was all that amusing, and that it detracted from the game. I on the other hand loved it. It got old at times, but they’d get me back on the bandwagon in no time. I was still watching the game and we were destroying them, so no harm done. It was Senior day which kind of meant the last game that Dave and Ahad attend. Most likely they’ll be back for more than their share of games next year. They better come back, because senior day wasn’t too sad knowing they’d be coming to games again next year.

After the game we went to the other side of the stadium for the band’s post game show. After that there is a percussion show. Apparently people are allowed down on the field for this. We were right up close to watch the percussion section do their thing and it was incredibly cool. Sometimes my former middle school band nerdiness comes out and this was one of those times. They were really incredible. After that we got to run around on the field. Yes, the Beaver stadium grass … end zone, 50 yard line, whatever. The security guards did ‘encourage’ us to leave. But we hung around a little longer and took pictures. One of the coolest things ever. My best on field experience since getting to walk around Fenway and touch the Green Monster.

Now you’ve been bugging me about this incredible link I promised a few days ago but didn’t deliver on. Really, its not that cool. But the other night while in the lab working on the project one of my partners decided to Google his name. We found some interesting stuff so we Googled my name. We found this story about a Private Investigator named … Mike Janke. And he even has a catch phase … “I’m Mike Janke … I can handle it.” We thought it was the coolest thing ever. So here is a link to the story. Really I haven’t read much more than the catch phase, it might be too chock full of PI corniness. I’ve done some research about this particular Mike Janke. I think a friend of his wrote the story and from looking at some stuff on his site, not all Mike Janke’s are the same. More later on this, maybe, if you want it and I feel like it.

That should hold you over for a few days. Dave will have on field pics and maybe some others. As always put your weekend happenings in the comments section. And Fick, you’ve been slackin, no comments in two weeks. Like you have something better to do …

You want something new. OK, I have been using this new MP3 player for a while now. It tracks what you play and makes custom lists with whatever parameters you want. So I posted my 100 most played songs since I got it. The list gets better everyday and eventually show my favorite stuff even better. So check that out here and in a link on the site. I'll update this when I remember to. Tomorrow afternoon sometime this worst week ever will be over and in between it ending and starting to focus on all the stuff I have due next week I have a very very cool link for you. Can't wait till all this is over. But remember I'm Mike Janke ... I can handle it.
